Application
The DJ-D71BV is a clip-on centerline butterfly valve. The valve body consists of a ring-shaped seat, an elastic lining and a disc. The disc is rotated 90° through the valve shaft into the washer to control the fluid. Depending on the model and size, working pressures up to 25 bar and media temperatures up to 210 °C are possible. In most cases, these valves are used to control pure liquids, but can also be used for other media such as gases through special selection. Due to the wide variety of materials, butterfly valves are widely used in industries such as chemical and water treatment. Butterfly valves are also a very economical fluid solution in some process segments where the frequency of opening and closing, hygienic level and control accuracy are not critical. Butterfly valves are usually the only alternative for pipeline applications larger than DN 150. In the case of higher requirements for corrosion resistance or sanitary grade, a lined butterfly valve can be used. PFA-encapsulated discs for highly aggressive media in the chemical or semiconductor industry; polished stainless steel discs for use in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
